Kellie martin is an American actress in television, film and stage performer. Her most notable role is Christy Huddleston (Christy) on the drama of the same name Christy'; Rebecca Thatcher (Life Goes On) in Life Goes On; and Lucy Knight ("ER") in the medical drama ER". Her other notable roles include the title role of her role in the Hailey Dean Mystery series. Born to a department store buyer as well as a teacher in kindergarten, Martin started her career in acting in the age of seven years old when her aunt who worked as an nanny to Michael Landon's children assisted her in landing an appearance in the series of 1982 'Father Murphy'. When she completed her studies at Yale University in 1982, Martin took her acting career more serious. She was able to land important roles on TV as well as the big screen. Martin, besides being an actor, is also an accomplished photographer as well as a ballet dancer. Mother of two daughters, she's the Lupus spokesperson and spreads awareness about the condition daily since the loss of her sister, who was age 19.
